Situation: Too much noise coming through your single pane window? Tired of hearing the neighbors? Want to dampen the bass of loud audio systems of cars passing by? Don't want to spend a fortune on new, double-pane or triple-pane windows? Want noise reduction without sacraficing visibility or access? No problem. Enjoy it all through our customized, acoustic window cover! When in need of fresh air, just peel off the opaque vinyl material at the velcro perimeters and open up the window.

Recommendation:
Our affordable, simple, customizable, transparent
vinyl window covers can help reduce some of those
unwanted sound transmissions AND helps insulate
temperatures in your room. Conserve some heat during
the winter and cool air during the summer while
allowing natural light to pass through. Our easy-to-install
acoustic material comes with stitched soft pile
velcro edges at the perimeter. The mating hard hook
PSA (pressure sensitive adhesive) patches attaches
around your window's sill or ledging to ensure a
proper, tight, non-permanent fit. |

Solution:
After installing a 52" x 52" window cover for this 48" x 48" window opening, we measured the freeway noise (approx. 400 feet away) through a single pane window. Using a Radio Shack brand sound meter, the decibel readings on the C scale were: 66-76 db (WITHOUT window cover; BEFORE application) and 56-60 db (WITH window cover; AFTER application). This 6-20 db reduction may not be much on the decibel chart, however it was a noticeable difference to our ears. Enough noise reduction to help one sleep and nap a little easier.
